Nothing beats a good homemade pizza, but when you don’t have time to make your dough ahead of time and let it rise for hours there’s a quick alternative and it still comes out delicious! This quick and easy pizza dough is great for weeknights and needs just a few ingredients. So instead of ordering out give this recipe a try for your next pizza night!
3 cups All purpose Flour
1 cup of slightly warm water(around 98 degrees F)
2 tsp. Sugar
1 packet of Fleischmanns Pizza Crust Yeast OR Rapid Rise Yeast
1 tsp. Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Optional: I like to add a sprinkle of granulated garlic or garlic powder to give it a little extra flavor, but not too much or it will be overpowering.
Add Flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and olive oil to a food processor (alternatively, this can do done in a stand mixer or just a bowl but a food processor works best)
Mix for 30 seconds to combine.
Stream in warm water and continue to spin until a rough dough ball forms.
Flip dough onto a floured surface and knead for a minute or two.
Divide dough into 2 equal-sized pieces and form into round balls, cover and allow to rest at room temp for 15 minutes.
Place each ball on an oiled piece of parchment paper and flatten the dough slightly with your hands then roll it out into a 12-14 inch round.
Cover with oiled parchment paper and allow to rise for 30-40 minutes.
Once the dough has risen add your sauce and toppings, cook, and enjoy!
*When I make pizza with this dough I heat my oven to 525 degrees F and cook on a pizza stone WITH the bottom parchment paper because it makes it easier to get the pizza in the oven in one piece and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the bottom looks golden brown. However, you can cook it whatever way works best for you this dough is very versatile, but pizza stones are a great investment if you are a pizza lover.
